Job description

Are you a Project Management professional with a background in Public Sector? Do you have good communications skills and have proven experience in managing stakeholder relations? Do you have an understanding of Grants and how the process of research, draft, and submit proposals that help organizations or individuals receive grant funding? DCMS is recruiting a Senior Assistant Project Manager on a 4 months interim basis. This role falls inside IR35.

We are currently recruiting for x2 Assistant Project Manager on behalf of the DCMS.

The role is on a remote basis with travel required to London or Manchester office once every two weeks.

As Senior Assistant Project Manager, your main responsibilities would be: 

  • Lead and manage the implementation of cyber security projects
  • Produce the business case and project plan to deliver the project
  • Plan for and deliver all aspects of the project including supporting commercial and grant management activity
  • Identify and undertake engagement with a full range of stakeholders and manage communications with those stakeholders
  • Design the project structure and organisation appropriate to the project stage.
  • Set appropriate delivery methodologies and manage effective transition between project phases
  • Identify skill requirements; deploy and develop resources. Identify and monitor project risks and issues
  • Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate. Identify and work with related projects to manage interdependencies
  • Provide reporting and engage in mechanisms that hold the team to account for delivery. Organise assurance processes such as gateway reviews, as required, and support action on recommendations
  • Ensure effective Change Management processes are in place to agree and ensure documentation is produced and stored correctly
