Junior Project Manager Inside IR35

Contract Term:          

Contracting Authority: Department for Work and Pensions

Location: Hybrid 2 days a week in either London, Birmingham, Blackpool, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle

 

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. Working with DWP, you will be helping us to drive our priorities to:

  • Run an effective welfare system that enables people to achieve financial independence by providing assistance and guidance into employment.

  • Create a fair and affordable welfare system which improves the life chances of children
  • Deliver outstanding services to our customers and claimants.
  • Deliver efficiently: transform the way we deliver our services to reduce costs and increase productivity.

 

  As a Junior Project Manager your main responsibilities will be: 

 

  • Working and engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and conflicting demands.
  • Coordinating and facilitating the delivery of Supplier meetings liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Assisting team members on project support activities including document creation and management.
  • Provide continuous support to the improvement of processes and ways of working.
  • Collating, analysing, and presenting a variety of data sources to a variety of stakeholders and supporting with team reporting requirements.

 

You’ll have relevant experience in:

 

  • Programme or Project Management methodologies and delivery skills (in any environment) to achieve results.
  • Good stakeholder management.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and improve processes and ways of working, using analytical thinking.
  • Operating with autonomy, whilst working flexibly with colleagues in your own and various external teams
  • Microsoft with the ability to collate, analyse and present data effectively.
  • Governance, assurance, requirements management and change control in a project or programme environment.
  • Creating and managing documentation and reports for projects, including developing presentations for briefings / meetings.
  • Experience if working in supporting IT projects
