Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Data Management Advisor, role for The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), for a 6 month contract based in remotely.

As a Data Management Advisor, you will:

• You will be part of our wider Data Governance team responsible for designing and delivering processes and procedures that aim to successfully embed privacy within the different business areas
• You will be accountable for data privacy compliance and be fundamental in analysing processes to identify data protection risks and solutions
• You will take an advisory approach when drafting and implementing data protection clauses
  

You’ll have:

• Substantial experience in a legal, compliance or data management position
• Extensive knowledge of data protection/GDPR/PECR/ COPI.  DPIA and PN creation and revision
• Substantial experience working with large data sets
• Expert knowledge of data protection laws
• Good understanding of online technologies and their privacy implications
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

It would be great to also have:

• Experience in a legal or compliance setting is helpful
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work across the organisation at all levels
• Background in Civil Service policy is helpful
• Demonstrable experience in a data protection role
• Experience with supporting the implementation of a privacy programme
• Experience with implementing Governance, Risk and Compliance solutions
