This Project Manager will provide cohesive project management support across the Launch Pads programme and other cross cutting activity in the Place and Levelling Up Directorate in 24/25. They will work closely with the Place Directorate team and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure interfaces and dependencies between systems and projects are managed effectively.

As Project Manager your main responsibilities will be: 

• Providing programme / project management support for the Launch Pad programme working with the Place PMO team, Executive Leadership, Impact Management colleagues & other relevant delivery teams to ensure timely delivery of key milestones / objectives.
• Providing project / programme management support for the Strength in Places Fund, working with the Regional Manager to support recording & reporting of all necessary management information inc. timescales, risks, benefits & finances.
• Tracking & recording timelines, finance, risks & benefits – generating & updating management information & reports as required to support effective governance.
• Supporting the embedding of monitoring, evaluation & benefit realisation across programmes, ensuring benefits are identified, understood, measured, tracked & owned.
• Ensuring effective change management processes are in place to agree & document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.
• Supporting the development of governance papers.

You’ll have:

• Demonstrable project management experience within large public sector organisations – inc. budget management / workflow management / delivery planning / benefits realisation.
• Advanced MS Excel skills – pivot tables / lookups etc.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills – inc. collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong organisation / communication skills & excellent attention to detail.
• Previous Innovate UK experience – desirable.
• A recognised Project Management qualification – desirable.
