Resourcing Officer (Inside IR35)

Contract Term: 6 Months

Contracting Authority: DHSC Core (Department Of Health Staff)

Location: Hybrid – 2/3 days a week in Office (Either London or Leeds) and the rest WFH.

The Resourcing Support role is a critical part of the DHSC resourcing team which includes managing recruitment campaigns from advert through to the ID/onboarding stage, managing reserve lists, and advising vacancy holders on complex recruitment queries via the shared mailbox.

We are responsible for all DHSC recruitment activity, ensuring we are compliant with the Civil Service Commission's Recruitment Principles and other legislative requirements.

As a Resourcing Officer, your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Managing recruitment campaigns from advert to ID checks, including answering queries, providing recruitment guidance, and liaising with Government Recruitment Service (GRS) and other business stakeholders.

 

  • Managing the team mailbox, including responding to basic, novel and complex queries.

 

  • Regularly updating vacancy tracking spreadsheets.

 

  • Working closely with Government Recruitment Service (GRS) and HR Operations.

 

  • Working to tight deadlines, taking ownership, and collaborating with others to respond to queries quickly.

 

  • Ensuring information and data are handled correctly, following policies and procedures to ensure confidentiality is maintained and information is accessible.

 

  • Providing support to a range of wider HR projects, working proactively and building strong working relationships with colleagues.

 

 

You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • Excellent organisational skills and proactivity, including an ability to prioritise and manage your own workload according to business needs. You will thrive managing a varied and challenging workload and welcome autonomy to your role.
  • candidate that has been worked in a government department before, knows Civil Service Recruitment and onboarding, knows the recruitment principles and has worked with Government Recruitment Services and our platform Oleeo.
  • Ability to solve problems and act on your own initiative. You will be proactive, have a strong attention to detail and have a passion for customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications appropriate to the audience and circumstance.
  • Confident with the use of Microsoft programmes such as Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • A commitment to personal development, and a willingness to contribute to work outside of their immediate responsibilities.
