We are currently creating a pipeline for Commercial Specialist roles that we will be recruiting for across several Government Organisations and Contracting Authorities in the coming weeks / months.

As Commercial Specialist, you will: 

• Lead NHS Digital on system wide commercial strategy and operation
• Develop and implement an effective contract management strategy and deliver new contract management plans and processes
• Design, shape and agree innovative commercial strategies for highly complex, high value, high profile requirements in the IT and Digital categories, as well as common goods and services, in accordance with best practice, local policy and expectations
• Develop, implement and manage technical solutions to enable effective procurement, contract management and SRM
• Develop and deliver a business intelligence service to power the development of procurement and category management strategies, business and KPI analytics, facilitate scenario planning and pipeline/demand management
• Ensure compliant commercial practice, process efficiency and robust controls and assurance mechanisms across the full commercial lifecycle

You’ll have:

• MCIPS accreditation or evidence of equivalent level of experience
• IACCM Expert status or evidence of equivalent level of experience
• Specialist knowledge over a number of disciplines and commercial practices and procedures
• Deep knowledge of Supplier Relationship Management and Industry Engagement

• Deep knowledge of Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT)
• Deep knowledge of contract law and contract models
• Significant understanding of commercial technology & analysis of data sets to manipulate and deliver MI and reporting
• Significant understanding of financial analysis
