200 years of innovation, one year of celebration

Railway 200 is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to inspire, celebrate and excite the entire country about rail: its glorious past, its importance to society and the economy in the present, and its potential extraordinary future.

The Railway 200 team aims to inspire, enable and empower organisations, communities and individuals to create and deliver their own activities, events, and projects, which together will roll up to create a rich, diverse programme with impact far greater than the sum of their parts.

By the end of Railway 200, every British person will have had a good reason to engage with the railway story.

What we're looking for:

We’re looking for people who are prepared to roll their sleeves up and take ownership, making it their place to make informed decisions and get things done.  We need to work together as an industry to design solutions that make things better for our customers, so we’re looking for people who can build great relationships and integrate with colleagues across the sector.  We have a unique chance to change things for the better, and so embracing opportunity, using innovative and creative thinking – with a dose of healthy challenge – is critical to us. We’re driven by a passion to deliver for our customers and our colleagues, so people who show they care deeply about their work and for their colleagues are the kind we love and are looking for!

As a Corporate Partnership Manager your main responsibilities will be:

  • Creating a compelling corporate partnership strategy and packages for companies and brands at the appropriate value.
  • Work proactively to research, identify and engage with prospective corporate supporters who have the ability to contribute to the programme.
  • Support the programme manager, keeping them informed of new prospects and partnerships.
  • Managing the production of proposals, sponsorship proposal cases for support and other communications as necessary to secure new business.
  • Lead on contract negotiations for new partnerships.
  • Develop a wide range of relationships internally and externally to validate efficient and effective working methods and objectives are achieved.
  • Represent the corporate partnerships workstream for the Railway 200 programme across the organisation and externally across the sector.
  • Influence and network with a range of audiences to develop opportunities through organisational relationships.
  • Identify the business pipeline and database to verify records are accurate and opportunities are swiftly followed up.

You’ll have:

  • Experience working in corporate fundraising
  • Experience leading the development of corporate partnership packages
  • Significant track record of securing and managing corporate partnerships
  • Ability and motivation to work collaboratively with colleagues from different teams – especially within the marketing, commercial and operations teams
  • Good working knowledge of drafting commercial participator and sponsorship agreements, negotiating new corporate partnerships, defining new terms and leading on redrafting contractual agreements
