Senior Network Engineer (Inside IR35)

Contract Term: 6 Months

Contracting Authority: UKRI

Location: Hybrid Working (Didcot office 3 days per week)

As a Senior Network Engineer your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure IT systems and services meet evolving needs.
  • Actively participating in the support of STFC WAN, sites LAN, routing, WI-FI, firewall and network security, IPAM, network access control, and cloud telephony.
  • To work closely with the local Estate Services and other departments within STFC regarding infrastructure requirements for new builds and other cabling activities around site.
  • To Undertake complex installations or configurations within the networking environment with significant autonomy.
  • To Plan, install, test of voice and data network connections.

 

 

You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • Experience in routers and WAN and LAN routing management.
  • Switches
  • Firewalls
  • Active Security Clearance (SC) is required for this position. You will need to be eligible for SC.
