As a Project manager your main responsibilities will be: 

• To provide project/programme management support for the Action Plans programme working with the Innovate UK Business Connect team, the Place PMO team, the Executive Leadership, Impact Management colleagues, and other relevant delivery teams to ensure overall programme oversight and timely delivery of key milestones and objectives.

• To provide project/programme management support for the Place Directorate’s wider activities, working with relevant delivery teams.
• To track and record timelines, finance, risks and benefits. Generating and updating management information and reports as required to support effective governance.
• To identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalating as appropriate.
• To support the embedding of monitoring, evaluation, and benefits realisation across programmes, ensuring benefits are identified, understood, measured, tracked, and owned.
• To support stakeholder management, including regular, appropriate, and timely communications throughout the project.
• To ensure effective change management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.
• To support or set appropriate project/programme assurance processes.
• To support and deputise for more senior members of the delivery, such as the Programme Manager and Portfolio Manager as required.

• To support the development of governance papers and provide secretariat for governance meetings across the Place Directorate as required.

You’ll have relevant experience in:

• Background in comms, marketing, or policy
• Creating governance paperwork and taking minutes
• Creating management reports for a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Experience in project management
• Excellent writing skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement
