Project Manager (Inside IR35)

Contract Term:  6 Months

Contracting Authority: Network Rail

Location: Hybrid Oxford-with a minimum of 3 office working days per week

 

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager on behalf of our client Network Rail on a hybrid basis, with an expectation of 3 office working days per week in Oxford.

As a Project Manager your main responsibilities will be:

 

  • Overseeing the delivery of the project to ensure that objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints.
  • You will play a key role in project governance, working with stakeholders to ensure the agreed project outputs are delivered to enable the projected benefits to be realised.
  • Design the project structure appropriate to stage, selecting and applying relevant delivery methodologies.
  • Ensure benefits are identified, understood, measured, tracked and owned. Identify and monitor project risks and issues.
  • Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate.
  • Ensure effective change management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.
  • The project will be working in and around the station environment with focus on the construction of a new platform, station accommodation and passenger facilities.
  • In addition to the station works the project will replace three bridges, install track, design/construct a new station entrance building and co-ordinate bringing them into service.

 

 

 

Essential:

 

  • Experience in the delivery of projects, governance, safety, CDM and risk control frameworks. Through collaborative approach and management of the Contractor,
  • Key Stakeholder experience.
  • Rail experience
  • Civils background – some multidisciplinary team experience.
  • Station experience – during construction phase would be ideal.
