Associate Digital Project Manager – Inside IR35
Contract Term: 12 Months
Contracting Authority: Department for Work and Pensions
Location: Manchester or Blackpool (2-3 days per week)
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. Description
Working as a Release Manager on the Release and Test team where changes that are bound for the user’s devices are managed through Engagement & Impacting, Engineering & Product QA, Testing and Deployment.
Working with the requestors within business areas and Tech Services to ensure that requests for new and enhanced functionality within the Digital Workspace are delivered in a timely manner with minimal disruption while protecting the live service. They will support the pace of delivery on a range of projects and ensure that the team is integrated and aligned around the shared objectives.
Skills/Knowledge Required
Familiar with the use of project management tools such as Jira.
Competent in using MS Office toolset.
Awareness of Agile and Waterfall delivery principles, methodology and tools
Assisting with the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of small-scale projects (typically with direct business impact and firm deadlines).
Ability to plan, organise and report on significant pieces of work in a Project environment.
Ability to communicate with others in a clear, honest and enthusiastic way in order to build trust.
