We are currently recruiting for 4 x Commercial Finance Business Partners for Department for Works and Pension (DWP) this roles are 6 month contracts remote working in first instance.

As Finance Business Partner, you will: 

• Develop and implement the department’s approach to commercial finance, working with key stakeholders within finance, commercial and policy areas

• Provide specialist and strategic commercial finance advice to senior decision makers / ministerial advisors, including but not limited to designing payment models, investment / make or buy decision advice, should cost, financial due diligence activity and developing robust contract arrangements to maximise successful outcomes
• Work with the business to demonstrate a clear understanding of their commercial finance strategic direction, and being proactive in determining the impact of budgetary changes within the business.
• Design and lead on the financial analysis to support provider financial negotiations and dialogue during major procurement’s

• Lead and manage strategic financial risk in accordance with the Outsourcing Playbook, ensuring early warning and effective mitigation strategies are in place to support the business and Senior Responsible Officers

• Raise financial and commercial awareness within the business through providing advice and training, developing a program to build commercial finance awareness across the commercial community, policy and key business stakeholders.

You’ll have:

• An Accountancy Qualification

• Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data and present to senior stakeholders using various communication methods
• Financial analysis skills
• Strong Commercial experience
• Understanding of financial accounts and analysis techniques
• An understanding of the commercial finance impact across the full commercial lifecycle including knowledge/understanding of commercial policies
