IT Commercial Lead Inside IR35

Contract Term: Until 31st March 2025

Contracting Authority: The Home Office

Location: Manchester, Liverpool, Croydon - Hybrid

These systems work collaboratively to deliver our cross-cutting priorities, whilst providing increasingly efficient and secure services for the public. These are difficult areas that can rapidly change in the global environment we work in – this makes us one of the most exciting and stimulating government departments in which to work.

 

As a IT Commercial Lead your main responsibilities will be: 

 

  • To enable management and end-to-end delivery of critical procurements to support the DDaT Enterprise Services Team including End User Compute (EUC) and the Shared Applications Service (SAS).
  • To support other areas of DDaT including Service Operations, Service Desk, Service Management and Service Design.The primary role is to support EUC and SAS progressing procurements to support their priorities. New contracts have been recently signed to replace the current mobile and data services contract along with a new hardware supply contract.  These contracts require commercial support to on-boarding and transition in to BAU. EUC are also looking to procure a burst capacity supplier to support additional demands.
  • The Shared Applications Service has on-going demand to support commercial requirements with appropriate commercial controls and processes to enable SAS to progress and agree SoW
  • Each area and priority require commercial expertise to test the market / requirement, develop commercial thinking and confirm that the market / supplier has been thoroughly explored and tested to ensure compliance with the Public Service Regulations 2015

 

 

You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • An expert in managing major and complex IT contracts and ensuring the best value for money is obtained.
  • Full understanding of public sector procurement, and EU Regulations.
  • Full knowledge of CCS Frameworks and methods of accessing those Frameworks.
  • Understanding of the government's digital and technology transformation agenda and why the government is changing the way it does digital and technology projects.
  • Experience in managing high value, technical ICT procurements
  • The ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, bring together people and views to inform decision making, and be willing to support work that isn't part of your core role
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Qualified CIPS
  • Active SC Clearance
