We are currently creating a pipeline for Digital Service Architect roles that we will be recruiting for across several Government Organisations and Contracting Authorities in the coming weeks / months.

As Digital Service Architect, you will: 

  • In conjunction with the US DoD through CTTSO 1and CTTOG 2document an approach for testing the application of FPGA technology in a network security
  • Document the capability of a network security appliance for porting to an FPGA device
  • Document the ruleset to be deployed within an FPGA based network security package for orchestrating the instantiation of network security capabilities
  • Implement, by way of a trusted industry partner, an FPGA based network security capability and deliver in to an appropriate testing environment
  • Implement, by way of a trusted industry partner, an orchestration mechanism for dynamically, and intelligently, deploying different network defence capabilities dependant on context and threat profile. Deliver this capability in to an appropriate testing environment
  • Explore, test, and document with recommendations various methods of linking physical objects to their digital records
  • In partnership with existing defence suppliers, test the deployment of a DLT-based system for tracking objects as they travel through the supply chain.
  • Identify a suitable cross-border sub-set of a supply chain in order to pilot integration with HMRC systems for collection of duty
  • Report progress to the cross government Distributed Ledger Technology Community of Interest to facilitate future involvement of other government departments who have expressed interest (e.g. DFID, UKEF)

You’ll have:

  • Valid and active SC Clearance
  • Experience of Agile delivery methods - must hold formal agile certifications
  • Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of FPGA architecture in high performance, high security applications
  • Understanding dataflow applications and platforms deployed to FPGAs
  • Experience of IOT deployments in high security, geographically dispersed, environments
  • Experience of centralised, distributed, cloud, fog, and edge computing paradigms in relation to high security IOT deployments
  • Technical understanding of multiple Distributed Ledger platforms with knowledge of their application in different contexts and unique challenges faced by UK government in their exploitation
  • Knowledge of cross-government Distributed Ledger programmes and their interaction
