Cyber Security Technician, Security Cleared - Inside IR35
Contracting Term: 6 Months
Contracting Authority: FCDO
Location: Remote/Glasgow

We are seeking experienced individuals to join our Cyber Improvement Programme. Working specifically in the implementation of the Center for Internet Security (CIS) controls.

As Cyber Security Specialist, your main responsibilities would be:

• Supporting delivery of technical and procedural elements within the organisations Cyber Improvement Program based on the CIS Security Controls at the direction of the programs technical lead.
• Developing and consulting on solutions focused on asset discovery and management, vulnerability management, secure configuration and Identity and authentication management.
• Liaising with subject matter experts from suppliers to support delivery of and provide quality assure on elements managed external to the organisation.

You’ll have relevant experience in:
• Delivering security controls based on the CIS framework and benchmarks
• Asset and vulnerability management
• Strong understanding of infrastructure, application, networks, and cloud security.
• Microsoft 365 and Azure experience
• Windows and Linux operating systems
• Working technical knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM, Firewall, Network IPS, DLP, Cloud Security.
• Professional security related qualification such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, GIAC or equivalent are highly desirable
• Public sector experience (nice to have)
