We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Buyer ideally with experience within Business Services categories to join Sellafield Ltd for 6 months, based remotely with possible occasional travel to site.

As Senior Buyer, you will: 

• manage medium and routine procurement and supply chain management activities including strategy development, price analysis, negotiation and contract placement, management and close out within the business services category
• Managing the tender process for contracts within your delegation and provide a lead role in the tender process for contracts
• contribute to the successful development and maintenance of effective category management strategies, and plans, through investment in understanding market dynamics and business requirements
• Undertake procurement and contract management activities ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and governmental requirements, such that commercial risks are identified and mitigated.
• identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities both within the Directorate and the broader business

You’ll have:

• previous experience within a Senior Buyer or Category Management role
• a good/broad knowledge of procurement processes including Make V Buy and routes to market
• strong contract management skills
• strong negotiation skills
• previous experience of SAP
