Job description

We are currently creating a pipeline for Business Analyst roles that we will be recruiting for across several Government Organisations and Contracting Authorities in the coming weeks / months.

As Business Analyst, you will: 

  • Provide support across a variety of projects, by conducting business analysis activity against agreed work packages, managing and directing resources to ensure work is completed within agreed timescales/financial constraints and quality standards, in line with Agency policy
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to foster collaborative working
  • Develop an understanding of the role of business design within Transformation and BAU environments
  • Capture, analyse and manage business requirements (functional and non-functional) to inform solution design
  • Work with colleagues to translate business requirements into technical design. Assisting the end users and Transformation throughout the ongoing project lifecycle to ensure the design meets the business needs
  • Test and validate requirements throughout project lifecycle(s) e.g. through scenario development for UAT
  • Report to and support the Project Manager and Senior Leadership Team

 

You’ll have:

  • Valid and active SC Clearance
  • A BCS Diploma in Business Analysis and/ or Business Design/Systems Engineering and/ or Prince 2
  • Experience in the full range of Business Analysis activities, preferably in a Law Enforcement environment
  • Experience with managing agile digital services delivery, working alongside scrum masters and development teams
  • Experience of development of user stories
  • Essential understanding of eliciting non-functional requirements to support digital services delivery
  • Excellent IT skills including Advanced PowerPoint, Visio and Excel skills
  • An understanding of Business Design concepts (ideally using EASE or MODAF)


It would be great to also have:

  • Experience of using Jira and Confluence and their respective capabilities to manage requirements backlogs
  • An understanding of GDS Service Standards as their application to digital services delivery
