Commercial Manager – INSIDE IR35

Are you an expert in demonstrating a strong strategic outlook and excellent leadership attributes, looking to develop your commercial career within a fast paced, highly professional commercial function within Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT)? Do you have experience in Strategy including Supplier Relationship Management and Contract Management, Commercial Engagement, Commercial Delivery, Commercial Operations?

As a Commercial Manager, you will: 

  • Understand the commercial lifecycle and demonstrates extensive skills and behaviours at an advanced practitioner level with detailed knowledge and substantial experience of the majority of the skills areas and applies them when undertaking complex and contentious commercial activities.
  • Develop, implement and manage technical solutions to enable effective procurement, contract management and SRM
  • Develop and deliver a business intelligence service to power the development of procurement and category management strategies, business and KPI analytics, facilitate scenario planning and pipeline/demand management
  • Ensure compliant commercial practice, process efficiency and robust controls and assurance mechanisms across the full commercial lifecycle.

You’ll have:

  • MCIPS accreditation or evidence of equivalent level of experience
  • IACCM Advanced Practitioner status or evidence of equivalent level of experience
  • Evidence of specialist knowledge over a number of disciplines and commercial practices and procedures

It would be great to also have:

  • Public sector experience
  • A business acumen (strong)
  • A knowledge of supplier relationship and industry engagement activities
  • A knowledge of IT, Digital and Technology
  • A knowledge of category management approaches, tools and techniques
  • An understanding of financial analysis
  • An understanding of commercial technology & analysis of data sets to manipulate and deliver MI and reporting
