Job description

We are currently creating a pipeline for Developer roles that we will be recruiting for across several Government Organisations and Contracting Authorities in the coming weeks / months.

As Developer, you will: 

  • Design, create and improve new and existing products, platforms and transactions across the organisation
  • Have skills in front end or back end web developer (or both) and be ready to quickly get to work within a multi-disciplinary team of developers, designers, editors, and analysts focussed on one or more products or projects
  • Build web and mobile products to serve a variety of users' needs
  • Build up a useful, robust automated test suite to support a Continuous Deployment environment
  • Share knowledge of tools and techniques with the wider team, both developers and non-developers
  • Take part in 2nd-line support of applications and platforms.

You’ll have:

  • Experience of leading a workstream within a software development team, or similar levels of individual responsibility, leading on complex technical problems and collaborating with external suppliers
  • A working understanding of software development and ability to identify potential issues within the code that is being worked on with scope of wider system design
  • Experience of engineering a simple system or comparable system components. Able to contribute to best use patterns for working with appropriately selected technologies to meet business problems
  • An understanding of software architecture, design and development with exposure to a selection of platforms, languages, methodologies, patterns and implementations
  • A working understanding of, and exposure to the "devops" approach across the end-to-end product lifecycle
  • Experience/ Knowledge of the list below:
  • Strong in .NET Core
  • Experience with TLS mutual authentication
  • Proficient in Kubernetes and Terraform
  • Knowledge of Jenkins
  • Experience with continuous delivery, continuous deployment and automation
  • Proven record of using Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience of testing APIs

It would be great to also have:

 

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team
