Reporting and Systems Coordinator – Inside IR35

Contract Term: Until the end of March 2025          

Contracting Authority: Government Legal Department

Location: Hybrid – London, Bristol, Manchester or Leeds  

 

The Reporting and Systems Coordinator is a role within the Workforce Strategy Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly capable and organised professional who is familiar with the iTrent system and how it interacts with other systems as the single source of data. 

 

The successful applicant will need to quickly become familiar with the intricacies and limitations of the data held in iTrent and how it is used across the organisation and beyond. Working closely with the Head of People and key stakeholders across the department, the successful candidate will be required to build and maintain custom-built reports, using Business Objects, and, crucially, identify and lead on areas to improve data integrity for accuracy and ease of access and analysis. 

 

This will assist the senior leadership and teams across the department make more informed decisions in delivering against GLD’s strategic outcomes and Business Plan, including through the implementation of a balanced scorecard of people metrics, in evolving our approach to data warehousing and our data products, and as the team evolves to a new structure in early 2025.

 

 

As a Reporting and Systems Coordinator your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Review data quality and the way data is captured in iTrent / MyHR and identifying and leading on improvements.
  • Ensure the structural hierarchy is accurate and up to date for headcount and workforce planning purposes and support the running of Service Now.
  • Liaise with Midland HR and key stakeholders across GLD to ensure smooth interoperability between systems data held in iTrent / MyHR and other internal systems, including Service Now.
  • Participate in working groups and iTrent/MyHR Change Boards as a subject matter expert and lead/sponsor to iTrent / MyHR that will benefit HR and the wider organisation.
  • Consider how data might inform and drive projects across the organisation including in terms of universal people metrics, Identifying improvements to HR MI ways of working through systems or report improvements and the creation of new dashboards and reports.
  • Drive forward the identification, procurement and implementation of a DataMart / data warehouse and lead on its use in the HR MI Team, identifying beneficial integrations to the business.
  • Work closely within the HR MI Team to develop a suite of reports in Business Objects and PowerBI  to enable ease of analysis, liaising with stakeholders across the business to advise what reports can be produced to achieve strategic aims.
  • Line management of one SEO People Insight Data Analyst role while ensuring the 6-strong team project work progresses, prioritising and resolving escalations from the business as necessary.
  • Build the capacity and capability of the HR MI team through coaching, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement activities.

 

Essential:

  • Knowledge and experience of iTrent or a similar system.
  • Experience of working with HR / People data.
  • Experience of data reporting and analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

 

Desirable:

  • PowerBI experience.
  • Public Sector experience.
