Full Stack Developer (Inside IR35)
Contract Term: 6 Months
Contracting Authority: The Home Office
Location: Remote – Manchester (Occasional Travel)
The “Animals in Scientific Procedures e-Licensing” (ASPeL) service allows establishments to apply for and manage the licences required to carry out research, in the name of science, in Great Britain, on protected animals. It allows the Home Office to assess and process these applications and carry out other necessary regulatory duties.
The ASPeL product is in active development by a cross-functional team. A family of feature-complete correspondence products exists (CS systems). Live support and maintenance will be needed intermittently:
• “Digital External Correspondence System” (DECS)
• “Home Office Correspondence System” (HOCS Alfresco) – precursor of DECS
• “Windrush Compensation System” (WCS) – derived from HOCS
All these systems currently run within the “Application Container Platform” an AWS/Kubernetes environment managed within the Home Office.
The team’s delivery manager will decide priorities of work across these products and systems as required.
