Are you a security cleared experienced project manager looking for a new contract opportunity? Do you have a background in establishing and setting up projects and in the transition from one contract to another? If so PSR would like to speak to you!

Background:

This post would be in the SATCOM Transition, Transformation and Exit Project which is responsible for the implementation of the new contract to replace the existing PFI, by 2021

As SC Cleared Project Manager you will be: 

• Managing the monitoring and controlling financial aspects of each project or contract
• Agreeing contracts for the provision of goods/services needed for projects monitoring compliance and managing variances
• Managing the preparation and delivery of technical briefs, status reports, chairing meetings and taking minutes/notes
• Managing the management of a diverse range of stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and interests
• Identifying and monitoring project risks (threats and opportunities) planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect products
• Managing on the consolidation and documenting of the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities, issues and quality requirements)
• Preparing, gaining approval of, refining and updating business cases that justify projects in terms of benefits, costs and risks
• Identifying, defining, evaluating, planning, tracking and realising the business benefits of programmes/projects
• Establishing and maintaining governance arrangements for the delivery of projects, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities that align with organisation practice.

You’ll have:

• Association of Project Management (APM) Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent certification
• Experience of planning a project, creating a project from scratch. Creating schedules, RAID Management, analysing and presenting written information to senior stakeholders
• An understanding of transition i.e. transitioning from one contract to another and the implications, obligations and requirements of that

It would be great to also have: 

• Experience of SatCom
• Network Communication Systems information experience
• Satellite Communications understanding
• Experience of working for the MoD or in the Defence sector
