Capacity Planner/Resource Manager (Outside IR35)

We are currently Recruiting a Capacity Planner/Resource Adviser for The Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA)

We are looking for a forward thinker with a keen eye for detail who works collaboratively with key stakeholders in understanding and ensuring business resourcing requirements are met

As Capacity Planning/Resource Manager, you will: 

  • Manage staff resource against demand; allocating resources in conjunction with Delivery managers.
  • Translate business resourcing strategy into priorities and human capital needs;
  • Use metrics to breakdown the business strategy to ensure the business is fully resourced to plan for the future and that the needs of the business are met over the coming years
  • Provide a single source of management information of resource against demand. Plans; schedules; monitors and reports on activities related to the portfolio of resource demand across the Portfolio
  • Support the creation of capacity and capability plans, taking into consideration existing activities across internal resources and supply chain
  • Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders and engage and challenge positively to enable change

 

You’ll have:

  • Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and demonstrable experience of undertaking and summarising statistical analysis of multiple complex data sources
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder Management
  • Track record of project Delivery
  • Cost modelling

It would be great to also have:

  • P3O Foundation – if not undertaken you will be expected to complete this as a priority in the role
  • Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Foundation
  • Management of Portfolios (MoP) Foundation
  • PRINCE2 Foundation or APM Project Fundamentals qualification (PFQ
