Job description

Contract: 6 months (possibility for extension)

Location: Armagh (requires travel to EANI sites through Armagh, Newry, Craigavon and Portadown)

Authority: Education Authority Northern Ireland

 

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Officer to join the Education Authority on an initial 6-month contract.

The role of the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Officer is to provide a professional building estates officer service for the Education Authority for minor capital and maintenance works programmes

 

You will:

  • Ensure effective and efficient mechanical and electrical maintenance within the Education Authority estate
  • Inspect and report on the property issues regarding maintenance or capital works as requested
  • Communicate at all levels within the Authority’s structure and externally with all relevant agencies

 

You will have:

  • HND / HNC / ONC or equivalent in Mechanical and Electrical Studies or other relevant discipline
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical surveying duties, including undertaking building surveys and preparing specifications
  • Strong communications skills, including internal and external stakeholder management

 

It would be advantageous to have:

  • Previous relevant experience in the Public Sector
