Chartered Surveyor
Location:
Exeter/Reading
We are looking for a qualified Chartered Surveyor (Rural or Commercial desired) to join our team on a 3 month contract to cover a resource shortfall. The Environment Agency carry out various activities and projects that require input from our functional estates team.
The work of the team includes land acquisition and access for major capital flood schemes, landowner compensation, land access agreements and notices for our operational activity,
Providing professional advice and guidance internally on matters such as land registry, notice of entry, asset valuations, compensation, landlord and tenancy.
We also act as an intelligent client in overseeing the outsourcing of estates work. We are looking for someone capable of working under pressure to deliver quality work to tight deadlines.
Someone used to working as part of a team, but who is also a self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude who can solve problems with minimal support by using their initiative.
Landlord and rental negotiations – improving flood defences -compulsory purchase of land and access rights
BAU Pickup – Smaller individualised tasks distributed daily to even out workload across team relieving pressure points in teams demand
The preferred base location is Exeter, but will also consider Reading Candidates
The team cover the Thames Valley,
Wessex and the South West areas of the Environment Agency.
There will be a requirement to work from home at least in part. Some travel to site may also be involved, so a valid driving licence is essential
Initially a 3 months contract with possibility for further extension.

Compensation:
£300 per day
3 Month Contract
