As a Commercial Contract Manager, you will: 

• Provide contract management expertise on incumbent contracts, services and suppliers to support the collation of information to produce packages of tender documentation.
• Support data gathering with incumbent suppliers.
• Supplier and Contract on-boarding support
• Mediation and dispute resolution, driving value from the use of performance metrics and success criteria
• Provide assurance that the existing policies, procedures, action plans and initiatives for Commercial Contract Management and Supplier Relationship Management are adhered to.
• Commercial assurance and risk mitigation of contract exits and transition
• Provide practical advice to stakeholders on the operational management of suppliers and contracts.
• Commercial capability uplift including alongside and in collaboration with HMRC Contract Management staff at all grades.
• Delivery of appropriate resolutions and written agreements relating to commercial issues arising from Transitions with incumbent suppliers e.g. accommodation, stranded costs, licensing issues
• Commercial gaps on transition landing plans identified and appropriately resolved and documented enabling smooth transition
• Management of supply chain transitions, drafting and agreement of contract novation documentation with third party suppliers
• Identification and delivery of commercial aspects of operational readiness testing
• Identification of ‘Work off’ items from day 1, items triaged and appropriate plans for resolution agreed and documented
• Provision of commercial post go live support and commercial issues appropriately resolved
• Incumbent contracts closed down and all remaining issues documented to successful commercial outcome.

You’ll have:

• MCIPs or equivalent professional experience
• Strong digital skills across a wide range of platforms
• Good knowledge of commercial processes and the commercial arena
• Experience of Supply Markets for technology spend categories.
• Experience of the execution of large-scale contract exits, transition between suppliers and the mobilisation of new supplier contracts.

It would be great to also have:

• Experience operating within Central Government / Public Sector
• Experience of Supply Markets for technology spend categories
