Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Facilities Surveyor with a Mechanical/Electrical Services background and previous experience of Statutory Compliance issues and CDM Regulations. This is a 6 month contract based remotely initially and Birmingham thereafter with travel to keys sites including Manchester, Liverpool and London

As Facilities Surveyor, you will: 

 

  • Act as main point of contact between Network Rail and Retail Tenants
  • report into the Facilities Manager to support the objective to deliver Retail minor enhancements and reactive maintenance works.
  • within designated stations facilitate the acceptance of tenant Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) which are both current and relevant.  Undertaking technical audit of tenant maintenance and statutory certification.
  • address reactive faults, leading to the effective resolutions of issues identified.
  • undertake Authorised Safety Reviewer (ASR) duties for tenant works (subject to training and acceptance of Network Operations)
  • deliver effective pre-tenancy meetings making sure all stake holders are present and lead on the formal review of tenant requirements. Undertake regular site visits during the retail fit out so as to make sure all technical and safety requirements are being actioned.
  • undertake unit handback meetings with all stake holders so as to deliver a completed unit on time and to the required standard
  • carry out pre-check technical details of Landlord Consent (LLC) on all tenants’ applications; liaise with all stake holders on applications making sure the process is completed fully.
  • carry out required audits for technical compliance during tenant works and facilitate technical interface with asset managers during tenant works as necessary

You’ll have:

 

  • previous experience within a similar role and be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline e.g. HNC in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Facilities Management
  • experience of working in a retail/operations environment
  • excellent presentation and communication skills
