Job description

We are currently searching for experienced Logistics and Distribution professionals that we are recruiting for on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care for a 6-month contract. This role can be worked primarily remotely but can be based from either London or Leeds when there is a return to BAU.

As a Materials Planner/Analyst, you will: 

  • Understand the demand requirements for the category of products being managed through involvement in the S&OP process.
  • Determine the level of inventory that needs to be planned and ensure orders are placed in line with these requirements (taking into account the conversion ratios in the BOM’s)
  • Track the inbound deliveries for the specific category, ensuring that arrivals and destinations are in line with the plan. Any exceptions need to be identified and escalated.
  • Provide reporting and analysis of inbound supply and stock levels by site as necessary.

 

You’ll have:

  • Budget responsibilty for operation/organisation.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Extensive experience in a logistics or distribution operation.
  • Business Skills up to to Degree Level
  • Professional Qualification in Transport management or Logistics.
  • Good understanding of IT systems used in Distribution.
