Job description

We are currently creating a pipeline for Automation Test Engineer roles that we will be recruiting for across several Government Organisations and Contracting Authorities in the coming weeks / months.

As Automation Test Engineer, you will: 

  • Work as part of an agile team delivering Legacy Bridge
  • Help DWP transition to the strategic Application Reference Architecture
  • Help to keep the legacy estate in sync with the new strategic world
  • Design and execute test cases using standard testing techniques
  • Come up with different business scenarios for a feature, working with others in the team
  • Design and execute non-functional test cases using standard testing techniques, in instructed environments

 

You’ll have:

  • Use of a range of technologies for testing
  • Knowledge of how to use one type of tool to write test scripts and execute test cases under guidance
  • The ability to identify simple patterns and trends
  • Knowledge on how to investigate problems and opportunities in existing processes and you will contribute to recommending solutions
  • Experiences working with stakeholders to identify objectives and potential benefits
  • Previous experience of working for a government department
