Head of Commissioning – Inside IR35

As a Head of Commissioning you will: 

 

  • Deliver the local Transformation agenda, identifying and developing annual transformational schemes alongside the Transformation Delivery Manager
  • Develop and implement system dashboard reporting, to include risk, issue and mitigation management
  • Localise, develop and implement schemes - national and locally identified. Ensure project definition and reporting is system owned and that information is properly managed with best practice being shared across the team, Directorate and the wider NHS organisations as appropriate
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key partners, including all appropriate key stakeholders in STPs and ICS organisations, aligning relationships with internal NHSIE functions
  • Ensure that all programmes and projects are developed and delivered in collaboration and co-production with our local populations and stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver current and new outcome/ performance measures, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient outcomes

You’ll have:

  • Knowledge of specialist areas acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master’s level equivalent
  • Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
  • An understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
  • An appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health and individual provider and commissioning organisations
  • Experience of budgetary responsibility, including budget setting with evidence of working knowledge of financial processes
  • Experience of building effective cross functional working relationships to drive organisational agenda.
