Job description

Role Title Planned preventative maintenance.

Inside IR35

Contract Term: 12-month

Contracting Authority: Department for Work and Pensions

Location: Remote can be requested to go to London Hub expenses will be paid.

As a Planned Preventative Maintenance your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Support the Asset Strategy Manager in the development of the Asset Management Strategy for PPM alignment to the new CAFM Database.
  • Define and agree the Governance structure with the Asset Strategy Manager, PPM asset manager and TFM. Including reporting, lines of communication and escalation process.
  • Develop and implement, in negotiation with the new Total Facilities Management Contractor (TFM) and the incumbent DWP PPM team the PPM regime, principles and delivery methodology for the WPS contract.
  • Responsible for and agreeing with the new (TFM) the definition of the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, regime & programme for each site, ensuring the schedules are sufficient to deliver on the asset optimisation objectives, data capture and update requirements and ensure statutory compliance and maintenance intervals are always adhered to.
  • Ensures that the PPMs agreed with the TFM are fully defined in accordance with the agreed standards and suitable and proportionate to the maintenance requirement and regime.
  • Agree with the new TFM a regime and program of audits to ensure PPM compliance and asset register validity, identifying issues and ensuring prompt rectification measures are implemented along with a robust escalation and remedial resolution process this should include delivery improvement planning.
  • Provides technical input into the development of a process of planning, linking, and updating asset data as a result of remedial actions which are raised as a result of PPM completion.
  • Responsible for engaging with the TFM and implementing a rigorous review, testing and scenario planning for the new PPM programme.

 

 

You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • Extensive use of CAFM systems and SFG20.
  • Significant experience of working at senior level within asset management within a large commercial property portfolio.
  • Extensive and detailed technical knowledge of asset management and planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Has delivered asset management strategies and led asset management teams on large property portfolios.
  • Up to date knowledge of the legislation, best practice, and industry standards in relation to providing a safe and compliant Estate.
  • In depth knowledge of building asset types and their significance on legal compliance.
  • Financial management in relation to assets and forward-thinking strategy.
  • Commercial awareness and astuteness connected with contractual obligations and interpretation with supply chain partners.
  • Ability to analyse significant amounts of data produced by computer aided facilities management systems supporting a large portfolio and identify opportunities or risk for the department.
  • Strong project management skills in relation to asset management and being persuasive in identifying key areas of work required.
  • Experienced of working with multiple stakeholders across a multi-site and complex estate.

  • An accredited Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in engineering or technology or equivalent.
