Project Accountant

Are you an experienced accountant? Do you have experience in forecasting? Do you have experience in reconciliations? DEFRA are looking for a Project Accountant on an interim basis.

As a Project Accountant, you will: 

• Work with Heads of Professions, HRBPs and the business to capture the key workforce challenges, capability gaps and model future workforce demand and supply
• Develop and implement a SWP maturity development plan for the Department and work with HR, business and strategy teams across the Department to build SWP capability through specific interventions and identifying and sharing of best practice.
• Implement the Department’s workforce analytics strategy, aligned with DHSC objectives, the HR operating model and Strategic Workforce Planning framework, driving the adoption of a new insight-driven approach to HR. This will include providing insight and modelling to inform pay strategies and using insight to support the building of a more diverse and inclusive Department.
• Derive value and new insights from HR data, particularly in recruitment.
• Be a key part the strategic workforce planning network, led through the Cabinet Office, aiming to build strategic capability across the Civil Service through piloting new approaches to strategic workforce planning.
