As Category Officer, you will: 

• Manage commercial agreements through launch, maintain, performance and expiry (re)new procurement stages of their life cycle in line with CCS standard ways of operating (SOPs).
• Execute commercial management principles to utilise leverage, benchmarking and market knowledge to deliver increased value and manage commercial risk
• Liaise with customers (users of the Commercial Agreements) and stakeholders both within Central Government and the Wider Public Sector to establish, and enact, appropriate retention and growth of spend through the Commercial Agreements.
• Manage suppliers on Commercial Agreements and support SRM initiatives accordingly
• Be sharply focused on implementing and supporting the delivery of business outcomes and targets e.g. spend growth through commercial agreement (s) within a Corporate Services pillar

You’ll have:

• CIPS or working towards attaining CIPS
• Experience in a commercial and procurement background
• A construction procurement background
• Public Sector background
