We are currently recruiting for a Junior Project Manager/PMO lead

Project Detail:

 

NHS Digital

 

The programmes within the Primary Care Technology Portfolio deliver new capabilities to support the digital transformation of primary care with the vision of enabling ongoing digital transformation within General Practice, where technology and data drive a sustained improvement in General Practice performance and efficiency, benefitting both patients and professionals. The three main programmes in this portfolio are:

 

GP IT Futures- Transforming the primary care IT market so that there is more choice, better functionality, and greater interoperability.

 

GP Data Implementation- Providing a standard GP data set that will improve the information and insight underpinning research and planning across the NHS.

 

GP Connect- Connecting general practice IT systems so that information can be shared between practices and healthcare settings.


As a Project Manager/PMO lead, you will be responsible for: 

  • Helping to facilitate, govern, control and manage the portfolio through their phases of delivery.
  • Managing and coordinating the PMO and will provide expert advice and guidance to other portfolio team members regarding the required business and corporate frameworks, systems and good practice.
  • Ensuring that the work is efficient and optimised, through facilitating relevant team meetings e.g. planning, risk management etc.
  • Develop metrics within the portfolio to help enable continuous improvement
  • Lead on resourcing elements within the portfolio to ensure recruitment activity takes place in a timely fashion
  • Identify all stakeholders and their interests, requirements, levels of influence and involvement, using the most appropriate means, and communicate effectively with them

You’ll have:

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent qualifications or experience.
  • Recognised project management qualification at foundation level, e.g., PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent experience.
  • Qualification or equivalent experience demonstrating proficiency of MS Office Applications.
  • Specialist knowledge of project management practices, tools and techniques, and effective risk and issue management.
  • Working knowledge of project management software.
