As Operations Officer you will: 

• Manage the departments risk log and case log
• Manage the staff roster and organise travel and accommodation where required (T&S)
• Report ICT issues to the relevant personnel
• Save reports received, daily, to the departments file structure

You’ll have:

• Strong organisational skills with a flexible approach and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities when under pressure
• Proficiency in using Microsoft software’s, mainly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Flexibility and creativity in a fast paced environment  - flexibility required in terms of shift and weekend work
• Experience maintaining and reviewing services to ensure delivery of operational excellence
• Experience of delivering against complex and competing demands in a fast paced environment
• Excellent written communication, including a thorough grasp of grammar and tone, and an eye for detail
• An ability to build strong working relationships within the team, with others in the organisation and as well as external key contacts
• At least 2 A-levels or equivalent
  
  
  
  

It would be great to also have:

• Degree level education or equivalent
• Experience of working in central government or the service industry
• Previous experience working in the freight/logistics/transport sector
