We are currently creating a pipeline for Financial Controller roles that we will be recruiting for across several Government Organisations and Contracting Authorities in the coming weeks / months.

As
Financial Controller, you will: 

  • Be responsible for managing all the financial control and reporting relating to the income and gross margin of the business
  • Be the financial lead on any projects or product developments that impact on sales and gross margin
  • Maximise the functionality within the existing business systems we have, currently SAP, Hornet and CRM to provide accurate up to date and timely management information that satisfies the needs of managers as the business develops towards a marine geospatial information agency
  • Look at improving the way that MI is delivered to the business and provide analytical scrutiny and financial insight to the information available
  • Be the subject matter expert and business owner for all systems used for calculating and reporting of data costs, ensuring the integrity of the systems and calculations
  • Be aware of any business risks and make ExCo aware of any corporate level risks not currently on the risk register

 

You’ll have:

  • Valid and active SC Clearance
  • A recognised Finance qualification with at least 5 years relevant post qualification experience
  • Experience of a range of management accounting techniques, these will include knowledge of difference pricing models, alternative product costing methods, reporting and systems
  • Experience in manipulating / modelling data within Spreadsheets and other reporting tools and has a good knowledge of current modelling best practices
  • Experience in working with ease on ERP systems and has the capability to develop tailored (to UKHO) reports to demonstrate the significance of financial data and improve reporting system
  • Experience of effective and secure management of information assets within your area of responsibility
  • Experience in managing a high performing team, empowering and motivating others to achieve organisational objectives
