Test Support PMO Analyst (Outside IR35)

Contract Term: 6 months

Contracting Authority: The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office

Location: Hybrid – 2-3 days per week onsite in Whitehall, London.

The Test Support PMO Analyst is part of a team responsible for supporting the Testing effort for a Programme undertaking the management and deployment of a new Wide Area Network (WAN) solution covering c.410 offices in 170 countries for the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office and the British Council.

 

As a Test Support PMO Analyst, your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Working for the core Programme team to organise the capture and communication of site UAT test results and ensuring that these results are captured in the central log
  • Preparing for reviews of the UAT test results with Programme team Technical subject matter experts (SME’s) and stakeholder representatives
  • Preparing and consolidating UAT test results and sharing them with supplier PMO and Testing representatives
  • Managing the process to ensuring that UAT Test results are actioned by suppliers to the satisfaction of Programme Technical SME’s and ensuring that Test activity is closed out and does not fall behind the momentum of the Deployment Schedule
  • Ensuring that Test Certificates are provided to confirm closure of Test activity at a site
  • Communicating Test activity results to identified range of key stakeholders

 

You will have:

  • SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.
  • Experience working on large and complex IT projects in UK public sector with specific skills in supporting Testing activity
  • Self starter that requires minimum supervision who has demonstrable administration, record taking and reporting skills
  • Focused individual, who has strong inter-personal skills, communicates effectively and motivates their colleagues to deliver the specified requirements
  • Tenacious individual that will ensure that the test requirement is delivered on time and to the standard.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Experience working with multiple suppliers and/or Third parties
  • Experience planning and scheduling testing activity and related tasks to meet strict deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail to check documents thoroughly and ensure they match specifications previously identified

 

Desirable:

  • MS Excel advanced level skills including Vlookup formulae and pivot tables
  • Basic qualification at foundation level in ISTQB relating to Testing or similar level of PPM qualification e.g. PRINCE2
  • Knowledge of IT network infrastructure
