We are currently creating a pipeline for Commercial Officer roles that we will be recruiting for across several Government Organisations and Contracting Authorities in the coming weeks / months.

As Commercial Officer, you will: 

• Work within a commercial team to deliver programme objectives
• Support colleagues to achieve targets in relevant timescales
• Develop successful working relationships with external suppliers
• Contribute to procurement and contract strategies
• Compile and issue tenders and administering contract amendments
• Provide commercial advice and guidance to the wider business
• Ensure all procurement activities are within budget
• Ensure all activity undertaken is in line with government regulations and best practice

You’ll have:

• Valid and active SC clearance
• Experience of working as part of a commercial/procurement team
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel)
• Experience of using e-tendering software – e.g. Bravo
• Experience of using financial systems – e.g. Oracle/SOP
• Experience of drafting contracts and/or tender documentation

It would be great to also have:

• Professional Services and/or Contingent Labour category experience
• Experience of working in a Central Government Department
• Knowledge and understanding of Public Sector procurement policy, processes and Regulations
