We are currently creating a pipeline for Logistics Centre Officer (HEO) roles that we will be recruiting for across several Government Organisations and Contracting Authorities in the coming weeks / months.

As Logistics Centre Officer (HEO), you will: 

  • Monitor the logistics plan as outlined by the Project and Planning team
  • Manage incidents related to Supply and Logistics chain by working with various partners/ suppliers and ensuring stakeholder are kept informed
  • Escalate issues to the appropriate team based on urgency and nature of the issue
  • Support the flow of tests through the network channels to laboratories
  • Focus on ensuring the effective co-ordination of the supply chain to ensure effective delivery.
  • Act as a liaison between Channels to problem solve and resolve issues relating to supply, inventory and logistics
  • Liaise with product owners and supply chain planners within the programme to ensure issues relating to products are resolved and escalated accordingly
  • Liaise with warehouses to ensure issues relating to inventory and demand are managed and resolved accordingly

You’ll have:

  • Experience of working in a complex transport and logistics operations.
  • Health and Safety Awareness
  • Incident management experience.
  • Experience of working with customers and suppliers together with managing contractors, 3PL’s.
  • IT literacy skills
  • Collection and reporting on KPI’s.
  • Experience of working with customers and suppliers together with managing contractors
  • Understanding of and using data as a foundation to make effect decisions
  • A drivers licence and access to a vehicle

This role will be on site and candidates need to be flexible regarding the working pattern, Continental Shifts (4 days on/4 days off.) Candidates will be expected to work over the Christmas period.

 

Candidates should be available for interview between the 26th-28th October, with the flexibility of an immediate start on 2nd November.

 

Training will be provided over a 2-3 week period, with shift patterns beginning the end of November/ start of December.
